Postgraduate Fellowship Program
For over fifteen years, Womencare Counseling Center has fostered the development of emerging therapists through the the Natalie Haimowitz Postgraduate Fellowship Program, focused on the relational treatment of trauma. The program is intended for clinicians with 1-5 years of post-masters psychotherapy experience, but is open to any mental health professionals desiring to augment their knowledge base and deepen their skill set in these areas. This unique, experientially focused, intensive two-year program features individualized mentoring and small-group supervision.
The experiential component of the program entails postgraduate fellows maintaining a caseload of 6-8 clients while participating in weekly supervision and mentoring around these cases as well as a larger picture of professional and clinical development.
The didactic components are comprised of a range of structured educational experiences, including a series of foundations trainings, the Summer Institute on the Relational Treatment of Trauma.
Our staff of experienced clinicians is committed to nurturing the development of our fellows by fostering self-reflection and providing multiple opportunities to deepen clinical knowledge and skills.
Graduates of our program have gone on to use their skills as therapists and supervisors in agency settings, private practice clinicians, program managers, and consultants.
Annual Tuition: $1500

"The Postgraduate Training Program at Womencare was truly the most valuable time and energy I have invested in my career. I gained more than experience doing therapy; I gained a deeper understanding of the impact of the therapeutic relationship on both the client and the counselor. My mentors were engaged in my training and were dynamic and caring throughout the program. I went to graduate school and learned about therapy; I went to Womencare and became a therapist."
