The Wounded Healer During a Collective Trauma

Due to health and safety precautions with Covid-19, this three-hour workshop will be virtual.
In this workshop, we will celebrate the depth of compassion and empathy of the wounded healer. We will also address the risks and responsibilities required to engender trust and healing for our clients, and encourage curiosity about how our emotions and experiences during this unprecedented time informs our work.
You will receive a zoom link and an outline one day prior to the workshop date.
- The importance of mindfulness, consultation and self-awareness for the wounded healer
- Understanding the impact of the dynamics of shame on the wounded healer
- Understanding the unique challenges and impact of collective trauma on the therapist
Fee: $85, includes 3 CEUs (available to LSWs/LCSWs, LPCs/LCPCs, LMFTs, PhDs and PsyDs). A limited number of partial scholarships are available.

Laurie Kahn, MA, MFA, LCPC is the founder and director of Womencare Counseling and Training Center and the author of Baffled by Love: Stories of the Lasting Impact of Childhood Trauma by Loved Ones. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute or request a refund. All refund requests must be made in writing at least one week prior to the event and are subject to an administrative charge of $30. Alternatively, you may transfer your full registration fee to a future workshop without penalty. Cancellation and transfer requests made less than one week prior to event will not be honored and registration fee will be forfeited.
