Priya Kapoor (she/her), LCSW

I am constantly honored and humbled by the ways that clients allow me into their experiences, share their stories with me, and trust me to keep them safe while they do difficult work. My therapeutic approach starts with a relationship based in affirmation and care, and follows the client’s lead as they explore their own histories, needs, and hopes. Most importantly, my work is guided by a deep respect for my clients, and the belief that everyone has within them the capacity to heal.

Priya is a therapist of almost 20 years who has worked with individuals from age 3 through adulthood, supporting them through family and relationship difficulties, identity formation, and other challenging life periods. A Queer woman of color, child of immigrants, and the parent of a Genderqueer child, Priya is deeply committed to acknowledging and addressing the mental health harms caused to members of minority communities, while also affirming and celebrating every individual’s identity as a source of strength and meaning.
