Valerie Papillon (she/her), AM, LCSW

Many people encounter pain in life that becomes overwhelming. Therapy can be one of the ways we can learn to hold and make sense of our struggles.  We will collaborate in building a therapeutic relationship that will help us gain a deeper understanding of your history and how it shapes your experiences. In doing so, we have the opportunity to help you work toward and reclaim a deeper sense of integration and wholeness.

Valerie Papillon (she/her), AM, LCSW is a Black cis-woman therapist of Caribbean descent. She utilizes a feminist relational, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach in her work with adults, adolescents and couples. Valerie also incorporates her community organizing experience into her therapeutic work to help illuminate how broader social systems impact individual experiences. She collaborates with clients to address trauma, depression, anxiety, and issues of oppression such as racism, transphobia etc. Valerie integrates writing/poetry, psychoeducation, mindfulness/meditation and body-based interventions into her practice. She is deeply honored to accompany clients along in their journeys toward embodiment and healing.
