Kanika Wadhwa (she/her), LCPC

We all seek to find balance, healing and joy in life and the world around us. I believe each person carries the deepest wisdom around their own experiences and lives- my role as your therapist is to help you find the best path to navigate the challenges you face. We will bring compassion, warmth and curiosity while considering the strengths and vulnerabilities in your life.

Kanika Wadhwa (she/her), LCPC, practices therapy through an anti-oppressive, relational, and systemic lens. She fosters collaboration and co-creates a safe and welcoming space where clients can embark on a therapeutic journey at their own pace, experiencing warmth and openness.

Working with people of all genders and sexual identities, Kanika helps those navigating relationship abuse or challenges, understanding grief and loss, and addressing various immigrant experiences. In her therapy practice, Kanika upholds the values of commitment, compassion, and advocacy, walking alongside her clients to empower them with courage and self-love in facing life’s challenges.

Bilingual in Hindi, Kanika moved to Chicago in 2008 to pursue her Master’s degree. She continues to learn and grow from the unique experiences of being a minority in this country while holding privileged South Asian identities. When not working, Kanika enjoys spending time with her kids and exploring the outdoors when Chicago weather allows for it!
